Provodnikov vs Mauricio Herrera Headlines January 7th Championship Fight Card. The fight for the WBC International super lightweight and IBF North American junior welterweight titles will be held between Ruslan Provodnikov and Mauricio Herrera on January 7 at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.

The main fight will last for a period of 12 rounds and will see that Provodnikov, who has won 17 fights in a row without dropping a single one taking on Herrera who is currently at 15-1. Seven of those 15 wins have been knock-out wins.

Interestingly, the WBO has seeded Provodnikov seventh in the world while in the IBF rankings, he is 14th. After overpowering Javier Jauregui in a game that went down to a technical knock-out, he beat Emanuel Augustus. However, it was a difficult fight for Augustus who had gone into it without too much preparation.
